P knows B who likes to invest No money till project finished Sold the idea by not taking any money himself, but P is the holder of the money, just writing out checks for the contractors Putting off P by saying that its all on word proceessor across the country What aroused Ps suspicioun was that the contractor, usually a mathemetician or an artist would sign the back of the check to endorse it, but also appearing on the back of the check was Ds signature. Why? B testifies to this. B was going to meet with P and both were going to confront one of these sub-contractors just before he disappeared. The murder day, Dykes came by, asked Soto for the gun and silencer, they picked up Spencer. Already talking about killing P as he was afraid that he would go to Dr B. He guarded P whilst the others went out to the ATM D cleaned up the apartment Strongest argument in Sp case is the video evidence and the confession. So & Sp testify that they were hired by D to murder P and that they had previously been hired for another contract killing in Cedar Rapids. So added that he went back to Ds apartment a few days later to retrieve the silencer, carpet, boots, and books on manufacturing a silencer. The DEFENCE argued that So & Sp had acted alone, and were trying to implicate D, a model citizen who gave lectures on elementary education, especially math.
